Supporting Speakers for Schools
Bowman Riley’s Academy team is working with Speakers for Schools to provide an online workshop giving an insight into architecture, interior design and building consultancy on Thursday 17th February to students nationwide.
Speakers for Schools is an organisation established to open up young people’s access to employers through virtual eye-opening work experience opportunities. In this way, young people receive the best inspiration and experience to fuel their ambition, so the organisation prioritises those with the highest needs to level the playing field.
The aim of the two-hour evening session we are participating in is to inspire the younger generation by imparting knowledge on the role of an architect, building surveyor and interior designer.
Students will learn about the career paths for each profession and the skills and education required. They will get to review several live projects, the design processes and be given an insight into working followed by an opportunity to ask questions and interactive polls along the way.
Richard Berry, our Academy coordinator said:
“We are excited to be working with Speakers for Schools to provide an online workshop. We are passionate about equality and diversity and this is a route to help young people from all backgrounds progress in their chosen careers.”
