Golf Day 2024
Bowman Riley hosted its highly anticipated Golf Day 2024 on Thursday, 6th June at the picturesque Skipton Golf Club.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with 50 clients, project partners, property professionals, and staff in attendance, all ready to enjoy a day of friendly competition and networking.
The day began with a warm welcome and delicious breakfast butties that set a positive tone for the activities ahead. The teams, playing in a four-ball Texas Scramble format, began teeing off from lunchtime. The atmosphere was fun, relaxed, and informal, providing the perfect environment for both seasoned golfers and newcomers to enjoy themselves.
A standout feature of the day was the halfway house, which offered refreshing beverages and an assortment of award-winning pies and scotch eggs from the renowned Drake and Macefield butcher in Skipton. This delightful pitstop was hosted by the amiable trio of Colin Briggs, Samantha Jevons, and Rebecca Jones, who ensured everyone was well taken care of.
The competition culminated in a prize-giving ceremony and a hearty dinner back at the clubhouse. Tony Pleasants handed our prizes to the winning team, comprising Craig Mewse from Bowman Riley, Chris Emery from ADNC, and Josh Smith and Richard Cullen from Tiffin Venue Management, who were thrilled to take home the top honours.
Special recognition was also given for individual achievements: Gareth Shepherd from Adept won the longest drive, while other skill-based awards were celebrated with much applause including Chris Sharp, Yorkshire Country Properties for Nearest the Pin and Richard Cullen from Tiffin Venue Management for Nearest the Wavy the Line.
Overall, Bowman Riley’s annual golf day was a resounding success, providing a perfect blend of sport, camaraderie, and good conversations.
Congratulations to all participants for contributing to a memorable Golf Day 2024!
