The Bowman Riley Big Challenge 2019 – Hadrian’s Wall, Carlisle to Newcastle
Hadrian’s Wall, Carlisle to Newcastle
On Saturday 13th July, 19 members of the Bowman Riley team will take on Hadrian’s Wall for our bi-annual ‘Big Challenge’.
In true Bowman Riley style, we want this event to be a big challenge. This year we are taking on Hadrian’s Wall to raise vital funds for one of our nominated charities, The Cellar Trust.
On Saturday 13th July, staff will embark on a Top Gear style race by cycling, running or walking along Hadrian’s Wall. From staggered starting points, our cyclists, runners and walkers will aim to reach the finish line under the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle at 4pm on Sunday 14th July.
The challenge will bring the team together in a huge physical and mental undertaking and will raise awareness and funds for a great local cause.
The Cellar Trust is a Bradford based charity that works to build brighter futures for people recovering from mental health problems. One in four of us facing mental health issues in any given year, so the support offered by the Trust is invaluable.
We have seven cyclists, six runners, three walkers and a support team of three. Our participants are: Michael Feather – Tom Shelley – Andrew Tate – Brandon Strike – Lee Stansfield – Colin Ruddock – Sam Cotterill – Alex Holliday – Chris Snowden – William Gains – George Marshall – Antony Sutcliffe – Robert Baxendale – April Marsden – Lewis Eley – Gemma Clarke – Dan Heward – Mark Hayton – Natalie Stott.
Who will conquer the wall first?
We are aiming to raise over £3,000 to support the Trust. You can find our fundraising page here. We would greatly appreciate your support!
