Group Learning Facility Opens at The University of Bradford
On Friday 11 October, the University of Bradford’s new group learning facility in the JB Priestley library was opened following a major refurbishment.
Located on the main city campus, the refurbishment project forms part of the ongoing restructuring of the library facilities to enhance the student learning experience.
Bowman Riley was pivotal to the success of the library project providing project management, building surveying, contract administration and principal designer services.
Following our involvement in the refurbishment of the first and second floors of the JB Priestley Library, space on the lower ground floor was released to create a group study area. The group study area improves the library facilities in response to changes in student team-based learning styles.
Professor Shirley Congdon, Vice-Chancellor of the University, performed the ribbon cutting at the grand opening of the facility on Friday witnessed by university staff and key stakeholders and members of the project team.
Bowman Riley has worked for the University of Bradford for over a decade providing a range of consultancy services to upgrade and maintain the University’s assets in line with their estate masterplan.
