Andrew Bright – Principal Building Surveyor

Chartered Building Surveyor Andrew Bright rejoined our building consultancy team as Principal Building Surveyor in January 2025. He returned to Bowman Riley full circle after working with us from 1995 to 2001.

With an impressive 34 years of experience, Andrew has made his mark across various sides of the construction industry, including working within consultancies, main contractors Kier Developments and Firecrest Construction and client-side at Leeds Trinity University and LandSec. Andrew’s professional work spans a range of services, including surveys in planned preventative maintenance, condition, dilapidation, and acquisition.

Andrew brings a wealth of expertise and a real understanding of the holistic team approach. He has successfully managed both internal and external consultant teams, delivering numerous projects and overseeing development and construction schemes from inception to completion. His portfolio boasts new build care homes, housing estates, re-cladding projects, and the refurbishment of listed buildings.

He also has extensive experience in the education, industrial, retail, healthcare, and commercial sectors.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing golf and taking foreign holidays.
