Helen is a renowned Conservation Architect with a real passion for historic buildings. She is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the rich culture and character of architecturally significant structures.
Helen has extensive experience working on Grade I listed landmark buildings, including the restoration of the Manchester Town Hall, the redevelopment of Bootham Park in York, and the refurbishment of Doddington Hall in Cheshire.
In her role, she provides a comprehensive perspective on heritage projects, offering services such as Heritage Impact Assessments, Quinquennial Inspections, expert advice on historic building repairs, and defect identification.
Her expertise covers a wide range of heritage assets, including Grade I, II*, and II listed buildings, battlefields, scheduled ancient monuments, and conservation areas. Helen provides the role of a trusted advisor providing heritage consultancy to government bodies, private clients, and prestigious organisations like the National Trust.
Highly regarded in her field, Helen has spoken on industry panels and led roundtable discussions and building talks on the importance of preserving the past, whilst creating a sustainable future.
In her spare time, when not ferrying her children to a variety of clubs, Helen sings in her local choir and loves walking and rugby (watching not playing!).
