Ben Stone achieves Prestigious Passive House Certification

We are thrilled to announce that Ben Stone has achieved prestigious Passive House certification, which further consolidates our commitment to sustainable design.

Over the past year, while working on the Cliffemount Hotel project, intended to be the UK’s first Passive House hotel, Senior Architectural Technologist, Ben has developed a keen interest in Passive House design and has attended various seminars and CPD sessions related to Passive House. His growing interest in this topic led him to seize the opportunity to pursue an accreditation.

In September, Ben participated in an intensive week-long training course run by Passive House certifiers Zero Energy – the same company we are collaborating with on the Cliffemount Hotel project. This prestigious certification is a testament to Ben’s hard work, dedication, and expertise. Passive House standards are among the highest in the world for energy efficiency, and Ben’s achievement reflects both his commitment and his growth as a designer.

Ben has become our third in-house certified passive house designer at Bowman Riley.  He will be working alongside established passive house designers Dan Postill and Mark Hayton.
