Accolades for Academy Graduate Will Gains
Congratulations are in order for our Academy Graduate, Will Gains, who recently received his results for his BA (Hons) Architecture Degree and RIBA Part 1, in which he has been awarded a First Class Degree! An excellent result for Will which reflects his hard work and endeavour over the past few years.
Last Friday we attended Will’s degree show at Leeds Beckett University where his superb degree work was displayed (see picture below). On the night, Will was awarded the West Yorkshire Society of Architects – Academic Award for Highest Achieving 3rd Year Student and has also been nominated for the RIBA North Student Prize 2019 and AJ Student Prize 2019 which will be announced in the coming weeks.
Will joined our Academy Programme in 2013 based primarily in our Skipton office and completed his degree part-time over the last 6 years. He has become a highly valued member of the Bowman Riley team and will be continuing his career with us by transferring to join our London team. Will is now part of the new RIBA initiative for Apprenticeship Architects and will continue his study with the part-time RIBA Part 2/3 course in London starting this September.
This is a great example of the success of our Academy nurturing emerging talent and investing in the future of our staff and business.
We wish Will all the best for his move to London and ongoing success in his career and studies.
