Mental Health First Aid

We are pleased to announce that we have four qualified Mental Health First Aid Responders across our offices.

At Bowman Riley, our core values centre on our people; their emotional, psychological and social wellbeing is of utmost importance. We aim to create a supportive working environment where we care for our colleagues and friends who may need support.

One in four people is affected by mental health problems during their lifetime, and our team needs to be able to talk in confidence to a trained member of our team.

We organised Mental Health First Aid training for Karen Allison, Jo Grier, Samantha Jevons and Alex Vousden, who are now all qualified to help support our team.

Our mental health first aid responders now have an increased understanding of mental health issues that can affect our people at work and home. They have also learnt about key policies and best practice frameworks for managing mental health in the workplace.

Our people also have access to Unum LifeWorks Employee Assistance Programme provides access to a 24/7 confidential helpline providing support on everyday issues covering family, money, health and wellness, telephone and face-to-face counselling sessions and valuable online information.
