National Inclusion Week 2021 – Unite Against Racism
It’s Day Two of National Inclusion Week 2021!
National Inclusion Week 2021 is designed to celebrate everyday inclusion in all its forms. Each day we will be sharing an Inclusion themed post.
Today’s theme is ‘Unite for anti-racism’ about changes we can make to diversify our perspective of race and gain an understanding of experiences that might not have been exposed to before.
Architect, Richard Berry heads up our in-house Academy team, which offers a host of opportunities for interns and students to further their practical knowledge and experience of working in a design and building consultancy practice.
Richard talks about our partnership with a not-for-profit charity, Speakers for Schools, who believe that every young person deserves the best inspiration to help fuel their ambition for a career in the built environment.
“Every young person should have equal access to opportunities, regardless of their background or ethnicity. To improve diversity in the architectural and allied professions, and to level the playing field.”
The charity’s platform is free for students, schools, and employees to ensure there are no barriers to succeeding in social impact together and have an outreach of over 2600+ schools throughout the UK. The charity has already made such a positive impact, and we are looking forward to working with them to drive mobility in our industry.
