OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTOR AWARD 2023
Bowman Riley’s support to the Yorkshire Children’s Charity on their Big Build initiative was recognised yesterday evening at the Yorkshires – Commercial Real Estate Awards 2023 when we received an award as an Outstanding Contributor 2023.
At a glittering award ceremony in Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate, host Martin Bayfield presented the award to Craig Mewse, Associate Director, who has given his time and expertise alongside Laura Baarda, Head of Interiors and George Marshall, Architectural Technologist,0 on a refurbishment project at Brooklands School in Skipton.
We created designs to enhance the provision of teaching and care facilities at Brooklands School to transform the lives of more than 80 pupils aged four to 19 with special educational needs.
We offered our design services free of charge to refurbish the early years’ classrooms, revamp the dilapidated external areas, including providing wheelchair access to the play areas, and reorganisation of the existing sensory room to create a bigger facility with improved air circulation. The project also consists of the replacement of a garage with a new build specialist rebound therapy centre, which uses trampolines to promote movement, therapeutic exercise, and recreation.
