The Team at Bowman Riley Celebrates 50 years
On Friday 20 July 2018, our teams came together in celebration of 50 years in business by throwing a soiree at Alexander’s in Skipton.
Our team of over 70 from the Leeds, London and Skipton offices gathered to enjoy an afternoon of socialising, entertainment, drinks, food and cake at the stylish Alexander’s, a European-style bar and kitchen in Skipton.
Highlights of the party included entertainment provided by singer Paul Pashley, caricaturist , charity casino tables, cocktail making, gin tasting and a bicycle serving ice creams.
The winner of the charity casino tables, Samantha Jevons presented a cheque to our nominated charity of the year, SELFA.
The event also marked the retirement of Laurence Teeney, director, who worked at Bowman Riley for 26 years. He designed some of the most impressive buildings in our portfolio including Culture Fusion Youth Centre, The Leslie Silver Building, Albion Place, Sir Michael Wilkinson Arts Centre and Kirkstall Brewery Residences. Director, Michael Feather presented Laurence with a gift as part of the proceedings. Laurence continues to work for Bowman Riley on a part-time basis to continue to support key clients as needed.
