Butterfield Studios – Bradford

Bowman Riley was commissioned by Stainforth Construction to design an interior concept for the remodel of Butterfield Studios in Shipley, Bradford, creating a space plan solution and a detailed 3D model to showcase the scheme.

Faced with challenges in letting the first-floor space, we were tasked with transforming a dated cellular office space and designing a contemporary and attractive collection of four- to six-person office studios that appeal to the SME and start-up markets.

The areas of focus in this refurbishment were improving the first impression as potential tenants visit the building, creating an attractive centrepiece for the community, and producing a welcoming social area for tenants.

Throughout this project, we worked closely with Stainforth Construction, supporting the construction phase and ensuring that the concept was carefully delivered. We advised on the loose furniture package and orchestrated the furniture, fit-out, and equipment (FF&E) throughout.

Our scheme at Butterfield Studios involved upgrading the interior decoration and adding wall, floor, and ceiling finishes, resulting in an industrial aesthetic and an appealing environment.
