Barristers Chambers – Leeds

Bowman Riley elevated Parklane Plowden Chambers’ interiors in Leeds into a sophisticated, functional, and inviting environment that reflected their reputation for excellence.

We reorganised their four-storey premises to create a modern, flexible environment that supports remote hearings and hybrid working. Key features include a barristers’ lounge, agile workspaces, case rooms, phone booths, eight meeting rooms, two boardrooms, and a south-facing roof terrace with a bar. To optimise storage, we introduced a mobile shelving system.

The refurbishment aligns with Parklane Plowden’s aspirations, supporting their expansion strategy. James Murphy, head of chambers, said:

“This investment shows our commitment to enhancing our reputation as a vibrant, progressive chambers.”

Following this success, we also designed the interior fit-out of a Newcastle barristers’ chambers in Grade II listed Portland House, creating a functional, welcoming space that enhances client experience and productivity. The layout of the compact space in Newcastle improved the client experience, creating areas that are welcoming, comfortable, and conducive to confidential consultations.
